Customize Send To Menu

What is Send To menu?
First of all you must know about Send To menu. When you right click on any file or folder in Microsoft Windows XP. You can see Send To sub menu on Context Menu. Here is the screen shot available.

You can see some default shortcuts in Send To like My Documents, Compress (zip) folder, Mail Recipient, CD Drive, Desktop etc. I want to add D: Drive shortcut in this Send To Menu.

Here are some steps you have to follow to add new short cut of D: Drive in Sent To Menu.

  • Open Run Command from Start Menu (Shortcut: WindowsButton + R)
  • Type %homepath%SendTo and press enter

After this a Send To folder will open you can create new short cut in this folder.

Right click in Folder space and click on New -> Shortcut and type this command D: (Do not click on Browse button).

Click on Next Button

Type your shortcut description My D Drive and click on Finish button

That’s all. You have finished the process. Now you can see your created short cut in Send To menu.

You can create any short cut in your Send To Menu like this. I just explained about a short cut of a D: drive.
